Cooking on Thanksgiving always feels like complete chaos. No matter what the size of your gathering, there’s always one to many family members vying for oven space that is already taken up by a huge bird roasting for what seems like days. Wouldn’t it be better just to order in? Whether you’re into the classic bird, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, or you want to mix it up to have something a little bit different, these North Fork restaurants and caterers have all your food needs covered for turkey day. 

For when you really don’t want to cook at all

Ali Katz Kitchen

Although Ali Katz isn’t providing the turkey, they have you covered just about everywhere else. The seven sides on the menu include maple whipped sweet potatoes and shredded and roasted brussel sprouts. The desserts offerings include salted caramel apple pie, pumpkin bread with cream cheese frosting, and there’s even some gluten-free options. And for the morning after when the last thing you feel like doing is cooking, they have quiche, granola and pastries for breakfast.

Art of Eating

From appetizers, soups and salads, to all the classic fixings to desserts and breakfast the next day, Art of Eating has all your meals covered for Thanksgiving and beyond. And the choices are endless. For the main event — the bird — there’s six options to choose from. They have nine different sides and two different stuffings (cornbread or country herb).

For the classic Thanksgiving dinner lover

C.J.’s American Grill

CJ’s classic menu is served family style for eight to ten people. The turkey comes carved with gravy on the side, plus all your traditional additions — candied yams, green beans, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, cornbread stuffing and rolls. Finish off dessert with a choice of apple or pumpkin pie. 

Pricing is $195 plus tax. Additional offerings available.

Order by 11/19. Pick up 11/25 cold with heating instructions or 11/26 hot or cold with heating instructions.

Ellen’s on Front

Ellen’s keeps it simple in the best way possible. For the bird, you have a choice between turkey or ham. On the side, there’s mashed potatoes, two choices of stuffing, brussel sprouts with optional bacon and more. For dessert, there’s apple, pecan, blueberry and pumpkin pie, a rainbow cookie crumb cake and spiked apple cider, provided by NoFo Flour Shoppe.

Pricing starts at $45 per person.

Order by 11/24. Available for pickup the day prior or delivery before noon on Thanksgiving from Riverhead to Orient.

For the traditionalist who wants a little something extra 

Grace and Grit

For those of you who want to keep a traditional Thanksgiving alive, but maybe want some fancy sides or apps thrown in to spice things up, Grace and Grit’s Thanksgiving menu may be just for you. They’ve got your classic turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies and stuffing. But they are also offering a whole salmon filet, a meditteranean platter, baked clams, deviled eggs, plus dessert options like bourbon bread pudding and pumpkin cheesecake brulee. 

Pricing a la carte or $325 for a set menu that feeds eight to ten people.

Goodfood.

Goodfood. has the classic turkey, the creamy mashed potatoes and roasted brussel sprouts. But they also have some traditional dishes with a bit of a different flare like the sweet potatoes au gratin are made with chiles in adobo sauce. For some fancy starters, there’s the mini holiday empanadas made with squash, goat cheese, shallots and sage or the mini crab cakes.

Shelter Island Seafood

From a slow-smoked turkey to a corn custard to roasted fingerling potatoes, Shelter Island Seafood covers the classic Thanksgiving menu. But you can’t go to a seafood market and not get seafood. So, they’ve also got shrimp cocktail, oysters and clams on the half shell, fish croquettes and baked clams.

North Fork Table and Inn

If you’re looking to elevate your Thanksgiving table, North Fork Table and Inn’s Thanksgiving Larder is perfect. Start off with bacon wrapped dates and smoked salmon mousse. Then, move on to carved turkey with smoked sourdough stuffing, sherry flamed mushrooms and spice kabocha squash. Finish the meal with a pumpkin or caramelized apple crostata.

For a traditional dinner with a smoky twist

Green Hill Kitchen

If you’re looking for Thanksgiving to still taste like Thanksgiving, but maybe just a little smokier, Green Hill Kitchen has you covered. The ham comes smoked and glazed, and the turkey comes either smoked or roasted. Even the dessert, a ‘burnt’ cheesecake, has a smoky edge.

Pricing a la carte or for a set menu, $170 for four to six people or $350 for 10 to 12.

All thanksgiving dinners must be pre-ordered by 8pm on 11/20/20 and are only available for pick-up or delivery on 11/25/20 between 12pm-8pm

Maple Tree BBQ

This smokehouse is bringing a little fire to Thanksgiving. Order a smoked (or roasted, if you prefer) turkey that comes with stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce. There’s also brussel sprouts and bacon, glazed carrots and whipped sweet potatoes that come a la carte.

Pricing a la carte or $235 to $285 for a set menu, depending on the size of the turkey.
